Vendor Compliance Analyst

PARTNERS: IAB has an exciting, newly created opportunity for a Vendor Compliance Analyst to join our team! SOLUTIONS: We’re looking for an experienced Vendor Compliance Analyst to bring years of experience and knowledge to IAB! RESULTS: If terms like, “on time ship, logistical metrics, EDI, supply chain compliance, chargebacks, bill of landing” get you excited, we’d like to talk to you!

As a Vendor Compliance Analyst, you’ll play an important role in the expansion of IAB’s current product offerings, as well as playing a key part in our ongoing sustainability. This role reports directly to our Sr. Vice President of Operations, and has high visibility among Senior Leaders within the organization. If you have experience working in retailer portals such as Walgreens, Target, Walmart, CVS, BJ’s or Dollar General and have a ‘take charge’ personality, you may be our next WOW candidate!

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Have a proven track record of identifying, recording and tracking customer compliance claims
  • Experience researching and validating claims
  • Ability to dispute and recover invalid, unsubstantiated claims
  • Ability to rectify valid claims with corrective measures
  • Experience generating reports showing compliance activity, results and insights
  • Have a significant understanding of vendor compliance issues specifically relating to logistics
  • Display strong initiative, self-management, resourcefulness and motivation
  • Build and maintain relationships with our clients, vendors and carriers by providing excellent customer service along with strong communication skills verbally and in writing

Key responsibilities include:

  • Investigate reasons for deductions due to shipping errors and non-compliance penalties
  • Identify the issues causing chargebacks using vendor routing guides
  • Communicate customer compliance requirements for corrective action
  • Check customer portals, on a daily basis, to identify new chargebacks
  • Dispute invalid chargebacks and follow-up until resolved
  • Compile customer metrics and provide activity reporting
  • Work with A/R, customer service and finance team to gather required information
  • Collaboration of customer requests with IT/EDI dept when necessary
  • Work with internal teams to ensure policy compliance to avoid penalties
  • Reduce incoming non-compliance chargebacks via exception status
  • Maintain record of customer vendor manuals, including all requirements and metrics
  • Work with transportation/logistics teams to obtain and maintain Proof of Delivery and appointment scheduling datat
  • Work with internal and external partners to obtain and maintain dispute support (i.e. carrier e-mails; portals)
  • Create customer specific chargeback activity reports
  • Determine root cause of customer specific compliance issues

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated, organized, reliable and detail-oriented
  • Can-do attitude with ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Problem solver with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced, innovative environment
  • Vendor Portal Experience Required
  • Microsoft Excel Intermediate Experience Required
  • A/R Deduction knowledge a plus, but not required
  • Must maintain client confidentiality
